I previously booked a place at the site last summer for a stag weekend; it was a cracking weekend. The site itself is in a picturesque meadow by the river and although there are two other camping spots nearby they do not encroach on your own space. Loads of space, fire pit and wooden benches, BBQ with sausages and bacon etc provided by the local butcher. It's only about a 10 minute walk down the river to town where there are plenty of drinking spots, not that we had to leave the fire and the wilderness. It's a great spot to chat with friends and bond with others. Will was really helpful with the booking and organisation process and was always on hand to give any help if we needed it.The guys (16 of them) who came along still talk about it now and have even suggested we make it a yearly thing - which we may well do!
We all had a really good and enjoyable time and the set up on site was brilliant. We felt that the price was really good value for money. The site looks inviting with mowed pathways through long natural grass leading you to your camp. The camps are perfectly spaced out so that you feel you have your own space. Being able to have a small camp fire makes the whole experience more social as you can all sit around and enjoy the evening. We had some rain on the last day but all camps come with a shelter, benches and tables which are brilliant so you can still enjoy being outside. Will and Patricia were very friendly and informative, if we had any questions or wanted anything such as logs for the fire then they would drop them off in the afternoon. We were lucky enough to have a shower in the next field, this was a temporary thing as the leisure centre was having building work and this is what would be available normally if you wanted a shower. The shower in the field was no thrills but perfect for doing what you need it to do! This would be a good thing to keep in my opinion. All in all amazing time and will be returning at some point in the future. Thanks guys!
We booked our work summer social with Adventure River and we had an amazing time. Will and his team took care of everything from teaching 30+ people to canoe to organising archery, packed lunches and a bbq. The scenery along the Wye is stunning and our team really enjoyed themselves. I would not hesitate to recommend Adventure River to others looking for a unique work social or team building event.
Friendly relaxed guides, beautiful riverside setting. Comfortable and authentic Tipis provided and generous BBQ catering provided. The raft building was excellent fun. Felt safe and in good hands throughout. Great value for money- would suggest this company wholeheartedly.
